Elvis - december 13

1956

Elvis met Hal Kanter, screenwriter and director of his upcoming film ( Loving you I guess it was ).
Freddy Bienstock, from Hill and Range, was also in town to help Elvis choose the songs for the film.

1973

Elvis produced 3 masters at the Stax Studios, including Loving Arms.

1975

Elvis performes at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel. 10 and 12 p.m.
At 10 p.m Elvis wore Totem Pole suit with original belt and at midniht he wore Silver phoenix suit with the second belt.

1976

Elvis returned to Memphis for a 2 week rest before hitting the road again on a brief 5 day tour.

1955

Elvis performed with Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins in a show of
"The National Guard Armory" Amory, Mississippi.

1966

Continuing his usual Christmas tradition (but upping the ante),
Elvis donates $105,000 to various Memphis charities.

1975

Dressed in the Rainfall suit with original belt Elvis performed infront of 2200 fans at the Las Vegas Hilton 10:00 P.M.

1976

Elvis performes for the last time ever in Las Vegas. at 12 am, dressed in the 1974 Arabian suit with V-neck suit belt, Elvis sings his heart out for 2200 fans in the crowd. By request, televangelist Rex Humbard visits Elvis in his dressing room after tonight's show to pray with him.
A shaken, tearful Elvis begs him to do just that.
"Jesus is coming back really soon, isn't he, Rex?" says the King.

Elvis performed at Municipal Auditorium in Schreveport, Louisiana Hayride. Schreveport

1956

Elvis ran out of gas in his new Cadillac Seville and was mobbed by fans.
From the Louisiana governor Earl K. Long Elvis received the same rank as his manager,
namely a Louisiana Colonel.

1970

Elvis was host of another wedding. In his house in Palm Springs policeman Dick Grob was married. Elvis gift was a new Cadillac.

1975

Elvis performes at Hilton hotel, Las Vegas NV. 10 PM.
Elvis wore the V-neck suit with the original belt.

1976

Elvis once again makes double concerts at Las Vegas Hilton. 10 P.M. and midnight.
At 10 p.m. Elvis wore the Egyptian suit with the Indian Head Belt and at midnight he wore Red phoenix suit with the second belt.

1955

Elvis performed in Schreveport "Louisiana Hayride" Louisiana at 8:00 P.M.

1957

While at Graceland for the Christmas holidays, Elvis Presley receives a letter from the Memphis Draft board ordering him for service in the US Army.
It is confirmed nine days later with a notice to report for service on January 20,
1958

1963

Vegas producer Hal Wallis is very distressed at the way Elvis looks in the final product ( Kissin' Cousins ), writing the Colonel to tell him that he seems "soft, fat, and jowly around the face." Among other remedies, a new hairdresser is scouted out for his next film Roustabout.

1975

Elvis makes another concert at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas ( 10 PM ).
Again the crowd is 2200 but unfortunatly I dont have any info about Elvis attire.

1976

Elvis flies Ginger's whole family out to the show tonight in an attempt to get her to stay on the tour; however, tonight's Vegas show is marred by tantrums from Elvis, who constantly disparages the sound and, shockingly, the city.
Elvis makes 2 concerts this night at The Las Vegas Hilton. at 10 PM and 12 pm.
At 10 PM Elvis wore the Blue Swirl suit with white two-piece suit belt and at midnight he wore Chief suit with scond belt. Both concerts sold out, as always.

1955

Elvis performed in "The High School" Swifton, Arkansas and in "The B&B Club" Swifton, Arkansas, Elvis sings"Heartbreak Hotel".

1970

The Colonel, not having heard from Elvis for weeks, sends a memo to him reminding him that his TCB slogan "only works if you use it."

1975

Half the "tour" is done and Elvis performes once again at 10:00 PM in Hilton hotel, Las Vegas NV. 2200 in the crowd as usuall.

1976

Elvis performes again at The Hilton hotel, Las Vegas NV. This time at midnight.
Elvis wore the Egyptian suit with the Indian head belt.

2200 in the crowd could see Elvis n the Rainfall suit with the original belt.

Elvis makes a midnightconcert at Hilton hotel, Las Vegas NV.
Elvis wore the Blue swirl suit with the White two-piece suit belt.

Vernon is hospitalized with what appears to be his second heart attack,
but which turns out later to be a mere complication from his first.
Elvis makes yet a souldout ( 2200 )concert at Hilton hotel, Las Vegas NV. at midnight.
Elvis wore the Chief suit with the second belt.
