Elvis performed in "The Mosque Theater" Richmond, Virginia
for "The Philip Morris Employees Night"
1962
Elvis returns to Memphis from Las Vegas and is greeted with bad news:
his first nationwide tour in three years has fallen through, the result of an inability for the Colonel and RCA to come to terms on the details. The 43-date tour would have netted Elvis one million dollars.
1966
Elvis is tuned in to radio station WHBQ when he hears Tom Jones singing
"Green, Green Grass Of Home." He calls the radio station and requests the song over and over again -although Mafia member Red West had brought the song to his attention in 1965 and was told it was "too country"!
1976
Elvis performed at the Cow Palace, San Francisco, California at 8:30 p.m.
The crowd was 14300 and Elvis wore "Blue Swirl" suit with the White two-piece suit belt. Ginger Alden arrived with the JetStar, which Elvis had sent for her, but she was confined to her room. Elvis had not yet persuaded Linda to leave. When she finally did leave, it would be the last time the two of them saw each other.
