Besides that, the Colonel had asked Elvis not to drop on his knees anymore because the gold was flaking off. So most of the rest of the tour Elvis wore black pants.
By bus Elvis and the group went back to Memphis.
Elvis contacted the karate instructor Kang Rhee, whom Ed Parker had recommended. Elvis visited Master Rhee's studio and the 2 of them immediately hit it off and Elvis received his fourth-degree black belt on this date.
The last night of recording began with yet another melancholy declaration "Always On My Mind". The session was concluded at 1.00 a.m. with a total of 7 masters achieved over the 3 nights.
