1956
Elvis performed in "Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey Stage Show"
CBS Studio, New York City at 8.00 PM.
1957
Elvis filmed the "tavern" scene from Loving You, in which envious local thugs
picked a fight with singer Deke Rivers, who, like his real-life counterpart,
definitely appealed to their girlfriends.
1958
Elvis recorded soundtrack material on Paramount's soundstage from 1.00 to 9.55 p.m.
He re-recorded Steadfast, Loyal And True and he worked on the song Danny,
which was still an option to be used as title song, in case the film's name would
remain A Stone For Danny Fisher.
1959
An employee of a German film company came to the house to try to persuade Elvis
to sing just one song in an upcoming production. Elvis explained that he was
hesitant to do anything that might lead to resentment on the part of his fellow soldiers.
In passing, he expressed almost equal concern about fan resentment when he was
unable to sign autographs.
1960
Elvis received his full sergeant's stripes and he threw a party to celebrate
